After careful consideration and a thorough review of all available options, the Wheelersburg Board of Education has made the difficult decision to close the district-operated Early Childhood Education (ECE) Preschool Program at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year.

The Ohio General Assembly recently passed House Bill 114, which changes how kindergarten eligibility is determined for all public schools in Ohio, including Wheelersburg Local Schools.
