Principal's Message

Thank you for visiting my homepage! As principal at Wheelersburg Middle School, I am happy to share some information with you about myself and our school! 

My journey in education began here at Wheelersburg. I graduated from Wheelersburg High School in 1997. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (1-8) from Mount Union University in 2001. My teaching/coaching career began at Greenfield Middle School where I taught for 13 years. Later, I obtained a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Ohio University. At that time, I took a position at Wheelersburg Middle School in various roles from teaching technology to acting as an assistant principal, and now the WMS principal. This year will be my 21st year in education and I have loved every minute! Since being back at The Burg, I’ve enjoyed the many opportunities with students, families, and our devoted community.  

My wife, Natalie, and I have two wonderful children: Finn and Grey. When we are not at school, we enjoy spending time together as a family. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, fishing, swimming, and playing in the dirt with my kids. Being active in our community and promoting positive interaction with each other is important to me personally and to all of our staff. I am excited about the culture and environment we have here at WMS. Our staff is second-to-none. We appreciate the hard work our teachers, staff members, and students/families put in to create the best learning atmosphere possible. As a staff we hope to embody the 3 R's: Respect, Relationships, and Rigor!
