Regarding A Threatening Social Media Post

Parents, Students and Community Members,

The District was made aware of a disturbing and threatening social media post this afternoon about the Wheelersburg Schools that has since that time been deleted. We initiated our safety protocols and alerted law enforcement. In cooperation with the Scioto County Sheriff’s office it was determined to be a non credible threat and the school maintained normal operations.

If you have any information pertaining to this threat please contact the Scioto County Sheriff’s office at 740-355-8245 or the Wheelersburg Board of Education office at 740-574-8484.

The safety of our students and staff is always at the forefront of our thoughts and actions.  We take all threats seriously and will cooperate with local law enforcement to the fullest extent.

The District wishes to thank our school community members who diligently reported this threat to the school.  The District would also like to commend and thank the Scioto County Sheriff’s office for their quick response and resolution of this situation.
