Dear Wheelersburg Families, Students, and Staff,
The Wheelersburg Local Schools will be in session on Monday, February 16, 2026. This date is listed as a possible make-up day on our official 2025–2026 school calendar and will now be used to make up for instructional time lost due to recent inclement weather.
Our district typically builds in five calamity days for weather-related closures. Once we go beyond those five days, we begin using scheduled make-up days from the calendar. So far this winter, we have had seven weather-related closure days, which is why we are now using February 16 as a school day.
A few reminders for February 16:
Regular school hours:
Elementary (PS–3): 8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Middle School (4–8): 7:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
High School (9–12): 7:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Buses will run their normal routes.
Breakfast and lunch will be served as usual.
As we move forward, please keep in mind that it is still early in the winter season, and additional inclement weather may require further adjustments to our school schedule. We are committed to providing families with timely updates regarding any future changes, including additional closures or the use of designated make-up days. We encourage you to review the official school calendar to familiarize yourself with the listed make-up dates and to use it as a reference throughout the remainder of the school year.
