Band

My name is Ty Bender. For the past three years I have been the assistant marching Band director here at Wheelersburg but this is my first year as the head band director. I am a graduate of Marshall University with a BA in Music Education. 

Here at Wheelersburg I teach 6-12 concert band as well as the Marching Pirates and the Wheelersburg Pep Band. Before teaching at Wheelersburg I taught band at Whiteoak Jr/Sr schools. 

I am very excited to be able to continue my work with the Wheelersburg band and community. We have a very exciting year of music ahead of us so please come see us perform at every Burg football game, several parades across Southern Ohio, home basketball games, and our concerts held throughout the year!
